Cork City is renowned for its night life with some amazing pubs, clubs and nightclubs all within short walking distance of Rose Lodge Guest House. The Thirsty Scholar is located nearby on Lancaster Quay and is one of the most popular student pubs in Cork City with a fantastic atmosphere and great music 7 nights a week. The Quad is another great bar with regular DJs and music and is located on Tuckey Street alongside The Slate - a cozy and homely bar with a strictly over 23s policy.

Looking for a traditional Irish pub with Irish music? An Spailpin Fanach on South Main Street is the perfect venue for you with traditional Irish music and great bar food 7 nights a week.

Other fantastic pubs nearby include, The Bodega on Corn Market Street and The Hi-B on Oliver Plunkett Street.

Whilst a large number of bars and pubs in Cork are late bars and serve well into the early hours, there are also some great nightclubs nearby where you can dance the night away! One of Cork's favourite night clubs is Fast Eddies on Tuckey Street. Open 7 nights a week, Fast Eddies resident DJ's always guarantee a great night for all!

No. 5 Fenns Quay is a short walk from Rose Lodge Guest House and offers great contemporary food at great prices. Cork City is one of the most culturally rich cities in Ireland and boasts some amazing local attractions that are a must see during your stay. Around the corner from Rose Lodge Guest House is the famous UCC campus - one of the oldest Universities in Ireland where you will find The Gluksman Gallery and it's collection of art.

For those seeking to explore some of the cities churches and cathedrals, The Holy Trinity and St. Finbarrs Cathedral are breath taking examples of the splendor of Irish architecture in the city.

One of Cork's most famous tourist attractions is just a short stroll from our guest house - Shandon Tower. Known locally as "the 4 faced liar" due to its 4 clocks which all display a different time, Shandon dominates the Cork skyline and is a must see for anyone visiting Cork City

Cork County Tourist Attractions

The world famous Blarney Castle, home of the Blarney Stone is just a short drive from Rose Lodge Guest House and is also easily accessible by bus thanks to Bus Eireann and the many local tour companies which travel there daily. To sample a real slice of traditional Irish life, why not visit 2 of Cork's most famous satellite towns - Kinsale, famous for it's seafood and hospitality and Cobh (pronounced Cove), the famous last port of call for the Titanic.
